Maxibu Technologies Ltd ("Maxibu", "we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you use our platform, website, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you create a Maxibu account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business registration details, and identity verification documents.
Transaction data: We collect data about orders placed, materials purchased, deliveries tracked, contracts entered, and payments processed through the platform.
Location data: For fleet and logistics services, we collect GPS location data from trucks and drivers during active delivery assignments.
Device and usage data: We automatically collect information about your device, browser, IP address, and how you interact with our platform to improve performance and detect fraud.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to: provide and improve the Maxibu platform and services; process transactions and manage escrow; coordinate deliveries and logistics; verify identities and comply with KYC/AML requirements; send transactional communications (order updates, delivery alerts, payment confirmations); resolve disputes and enforce our Terms; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following limited circumstances:
With transaction parties: Buyers receive supplier contact details upon order confirmation. Suppliers receive buyer delivery address and contact for fulfilment. Fleet partners receive order details required to complete deliveries.
Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers (payment processors, KYC verification services, cloud infrastructure, analytics) under strict data processing agreements.
Legal compliance: We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or regulatory authority — including tax authorities in our operating jurisdictions.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption for data at rest, TLS encryption for all data in transit, multi-factor authentication for sensitive operations, access controls restricting data to authorised personnel, and regular third-party security audits.
No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable regulations.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a period thereafter as required by law. Transaction records and contract data are retained for 7 years in compliance with financial regulations. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your data; object to certain processing activities; request data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@maxibu.com. We will respond within 30 days.
